I am a mother to three amazing children. They can often be loud, talkative, energetic, carefree souls. I am frequently told “oh my, you have your hands full!” and my response is always “better full than empty!”. I never thought I would be a mother, it wasn’t something I wanted for myself when I was younger. Now, I can’t imagine how empty and quiet my life would be. I am blessed beyond measure to be a mother!

A mother will always protect you, guide you, forgive you & love you.

“All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother.”
- Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

It takes some one really brave to be a mother, someone strong to raise a child and someone special to love someone more than herself.

Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.

The art of mothering is to teach the art of living to children. -Elaine Heffner

Sometimes the laughter in mothering is the recognition in the ironies and absurdities. Sometimes, though, it’s just pure unthinking delight.” -Barbara Schapiro

More than in any other human relationship, overwhelmingly more, motherhood means being instantly interruptible, responsive, and responsible.” -Tillie Olsen

“The mother loves her child most divinely, not when she surrounds him with comfort and anticipates his wants, but when she resolutely holds him to the highest standards and is content with nothing less than his best.” -Hamilton Wright Mable

“The mother’s heart is the child’s schoolroom.” -Henry Ward Beecher

This was such a fun maternity session and I was able to get out of my comfort zone and really be creative. We held their entire maternity session in the baby’s nursery and it was so sweet and special. Michelle is so kind and she and her husband welcomed me into their home and we had such a great time. I can’t wait to meet their little one when he or she arrives!

It has been so fun having the opportunity to have my own studio and working with clients out of my home! Heather was my first maternity session in my studio and I adore all of the pictures from her session! It was hard to pick just a few favorites from our time together and I’m sure if their maternity session was this much fun, their newborn session is going to be epic :) I can’t wait until this spring to meet their darling daughter. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy Heather!
