A few things about me…..
I am a very shy, in person and on line. I am a total people pleaser and I hate to let people down. My husband thinks I am a shinning star and sees my value a million times over, even when I don’t. He has been my biggest supporter and encourager, he is always giving me ideas and encouraging me to take the next step.
For a while now (the past year-ish) I have been receiving inquiries for mentoring of all types. My husbands has always said “do it!”, I have always said NO, but it feels like the right time to put myself out there, to take the next step So, starting in April I will start to offer mentoring, specifically newborns and mommy camera workshops.
Once I am settled into my new studio space I will post specific details. If you have any questions or would like more information before that time, feel free to send me an email!
It wouldn’t be a proper blog post if I didn’t add a picture

About half of my photography work is with newborns and I am a big fan of smooth clean skin! I am not one to spend a lot of money on actions so over time I have created my own. While talking with another photographer, I finally decided to put together a skin smoothing and eye define action. I wanted to take some time to walk you through how I use the action so that you can decide if it will work for you! The action is $10 (ten US dollars) and is available by email. This action works only in PS. If you would like to purchase this action please contact me at elisabethsmithphotography@yahoo.com
This first before and after all I did was run the action, on the eye define layer I took a small, soft brush at 100% opacity with a flow of 30%. I went over the eye line and lashes. Then I dropped the opacity of the layer to about 50%. On the skin smoothing layer I use a soft brush with the same settings as the eye, brushed over baby’s skin on her face and arms. Last I lowered the opacity of the skin layer to about 80% and flattened my image. Keep in mind when using this action, or any action, it is all about personal taste! Play around with the action to find what works best for you and your style.
Thank you to One-Life Photography for the sample images! Please send her some love on FACEBOOK!

Wow, it has been a long time since I have posted on my blog! I still have yet to take some time off from my busy season, because it never really came to an end. I was busy all the way until December 23rd and it started again on the 27th!
This adorable little guy was my first session of the day on the 27th and he is so sweet! I am so glad that I had the opportunity to photograph not only newborn pictures for this family, but also maternity pictures. Dad will be going overseas and I am so blessed and honored that he will have the memories I was able to capture before he leaves.
Baby C. wasn’t too keen on being moved around and posed, but he did let me get some adorable shots
Thank you so much to his family for this wonderful opportunity!
